Meet the Artist

Welcome!

Liz Gardner is a board certified (ATR-BC), licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT) working at a local hospital in an adult psychiatric out-patient treatment setting. She also has experience with crisis counseling and trauma. Liz studied Creative Arts Therapy at Hofstra University graduating with distinction with a Masters of Arts Degree. Liz has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Adelphi University and in the past has worked in publishing, advertising and broadcasting. She decided to make a career change to use her love of art to help others with mental health needs.

Liz is a member of the Art League of Nassau County and a recipient of the NYS Women of Distinction Award 2022. She studied art in college and later in life studied at the Art Academy of Long Island. She enjoys doing watercolor, oil painting and charcoal drawing and illustration.
